NPF Packaging are proud to be able to provide our customers with high-quality polythene products, including bags, film, sheets, furniture covers, pallet covers and liners. As well as being provided with packaging materials that’ll protect your goods, you’ll also have the option to boost the appearance and performance of the polythene products by use of our specialist polythene additives.
We have a number of different additives on offer that’ll help to improve the performance of the polythene product. As well as increased performance levels, the additive we have available has the potential to make your items stand out from the crowd, especially in a busy distribution centre, for example.
The polythene additives you’ll be able to choose from include:
Anti-static polythene additives – the additive, as the name suggests, will prevent static build-up. This is most commonly asked for by those who work in an Electrostatic Protection Area (EPA) as this ensures that the polythene material will not generate a static charge. In addition to being anti-static, this polythene is renowned for being dust-free, making it ideal for assembly and packing lines.
Coloured polythene additives – mainly added by customers to make their products stand out from the crowd, as well as ensuring it fits in with their brand, colour additives are an effective way of transforming conventional, clear polythene materials. Tints might also need to be added from a practicality view point, as blue polythene is often used in the food industry, and yellow and black polythene materials will indicate hazardous waste. NPF Packaging is also able to cater for almost all colours.
Flame-retardant polythene additives – this polythene material will protect your products from fire and heat. As such, it’s a popular packaging material throughout the construction, manufacturing and engineering industry as it can be used across a wide range of different applications. As polythene is a naturally flammable material, we’ll expertly ensure the additives are included in a strong blend of polymers to provide you with polythene bags, films, sheets, covers and more, that you’ll be able to place your absolute trust in.
High-slip polythene additives – high-slip polythene additives will ensure that goods and products can be slipped into polythene bags and sleeves with absolute ease and simplicity, no matter how large or bulky the items are. These are most commonly used by the textile industry, especially when it comes to storing or transporting clothing made of rough fabrics, such as wool.
Low-slip polythene additives – this particular additive will give the polythene more grip as opposed to making it as smooth as possible. Our customers will often use low-slip polythene bags to store and ship coal and animal feed, for example. Low-slip polythene can also be stacked up on top of eachother, so this particular additive would be incredibly useful if you were transporting items on a pallet, as you won’t have to worry about your load sliding off.
Ultraviolet inhibitor (UVI) polythene additives – this additive will ensure the polythene can resist the effects of direct sunlight. Customers who look to store items for long periods of time will opt for this type of polythene. It would also be useful should you have no other option but to store an item in direct sunlight as this additive will prevent any damage to the items inside.
