A distribution centre looking to:
- Reduce costs for an existing polythene liner
- Switch to a tear off on a roll liner
NPF were recommended to a new client who was looking to reduce the cost of their bespoke food grade blue tint polythene liners. They were also interested in the idea of switching to a tear off liner supplied on a roll rather than the loose liner packed in polythene lined boxes.
As there were no issues with their current polythene liner NPF requested a sample to match the grade of polythene. This would prevent any disruption in the clients packing processes, from there we worked on reducing their unit price. On a like for like polythene liner we were able to achieve a 4% saving. By switching to a tear off on a roll polythene liner we were able to offer a 6% saving.
By switching to NPF Packaging the client was able to achieve a cost saving whilst maintaining consistency in their polythene liners.
The client decided to stick with a loose bag for the short term however, with NPF’s broad packaging portfolio the client has the option of switching to a tear off on a roll liner in the future.
